What I've been eating out in Freiburg

If you are a vegetarian or vegan I am warning you now. To say the least I will definitely not be returning from this program as protein deficient.

My first meal in Freiburg was this meat plate with knödel(round ball thing, ingredients: potatoes or bread, german dumpling) , spätzle(another dumpling/ pasta situation, very common in the South)

Location: Ganter Brauereiausschank - fun fact Ganter is a brewery based out of Freiburg and has been around since 1865.

Rating: 7/10. Honestly just way too much meat and it was a hot day and it was way too heavy of a meal. I don't really know what I was thinking ordering this.

This is a more typical summer dish especially in Freiburg. It is Wurstsalat! So when you are still craving sausage you can get your fix. Some sort of vinegar dressing very delicious.

Rating: 9/10. Love this dish but the long strings of wurst are slightly odd.

Ein Döner Teller! Yum yum yum! Lots of Turkish food in Freiburg and all throughout Germany.

Very German food indeed. More spätzle and some pork in a pepper sauce.
